Rock n Roll in Barnet

Church Farmhouse museum intends to mount a major exhibitionin summer 2006 on the story of Rock and Pop music in Barnet Borough.

Musicians as different as Toyah Wilcox, Long John Baldrey, the Spice Girls, and Oasis, have, at various times,, lived in our area, and the borough has contained some significant venues, for instance the TOrrington Arms in North FInchley in the early das of Punk and New Wave and the LMS pub, Hendon, for Psychobilly in the late 1980's.

Museum staff are keen to hear from anyone who has information on popular music in the borough, and relevant material which they would be prepared to lend to the exhibition. (All contributions will of course be acknowledged).

Please phone the curator on 0208 203 0130 or email him at gerrard.roots@barnet.gov.uk
